Hi..I have a query regarding cross forest exchange 2010.
I would like to create a email address policy in the resource forest where the Alias information is pulled from the Account forest or source AD. Please let me know if this possible.
Am unable to understand the Edge transport role and Configuration Of this server in DMZ, Can you plz help me out.
I did a post about it earlier, does this one work for you?
Or do you have any specific question maybe?
What information do you need?
Regarding the ports, you can see the port reference for Exchange 2010
Post your question together with detailed information if anything is unclear
Now that I have completed four Notes to Exchange migrations (I have been successfully in large part because of your instructions).
You make the statement “Ps. This tool should be used by a PSO consultant (Quest).” How do I become a PSO Consultant?
Thanks for your feedback
The best suggestion I have is to check with your Quest contact, so he/she can help you with the path
Basically you will need to get real classroom training from their SME, take an exam of the training, be successfull in some large projects and have a verbal test with a Quest’s SME
Good luck with it!
Could you please guide me:
In our Org. we are using Exchange 2003 and recently i installed TMG 2010, could you please guide me how can access Outlook from anywhere with NTLM authentication using my TMG 2010.
And through TMG all users can access the internet, but our Exchange Server is not send and receive emails through TMG, could you please tell me i have to do any setting in Exchange 2003 or i have to create any rules in TMG for Exchange 2003.
I created the below rules
1-SMTP Rule: Access Type – Allow
Selected Protocol: SMTP, From – Exchange Server to External, Users – All Users.
2-POP3 Rule: Access Type – Allow
Selected Protocol: POP3, From – Exchange Server to External, Users – All Users.
3- DNS Rule: Access Type – Allow
All Outbound Traffic, From – DNS Server & Exchange Server to External
Malware Inspection: Inspect Content Downloaded From web server to client
Could you please tell me I want to create any other rule for exchange server or I have to do any setting in Exchange server to send and receive emails.
You can follow my blog how to publish Exchange services using TMG
That should be pretty correct even if you want to publish 2003, just make sure that the path’s and authentication mechanism’s are matching.
You need to configure Rules that allows your server to send TCP/25 traffic, and also for receiving the traffic from External.
DNS needs to be open so that servers and clients can do name lookups, or else you can use and internal DNS that does the DNS forward lookup for you, it’s all up to you.
If you want, send me an email with the rule and ip’s and a overview
You can send it to: email@example.com
I would like to ask your help configuring my Excahnge Server 2010, I cannot recieve mail from other domain. I have configure my Exchange Send and its working fine, only the receive im having trouble.
Make sure that your Default Receive connector is allowing Anonymous connections, or create a New connector for receiving mail from External sources.
Start the verbose logging on the connector and check the logs
Hope this helps you in the right direction
I’ve been trying to create a delegate user using C# and EWS for exchange 2010 mailbox user account following the below msdn article:-
The issue is that the program shows success as output but my delegate account still not being able to access the other mailbox account. I’ve already posted my query in exchange server blogs, but no response yet..
I found many good topic.
Request you post Installation of Exchange Sp2 on DAG.
Do you mean the update/upgrade process?
Or just a clean installation/configuration of DAG using SP2?
Thanks for posting
Did you solve the issue you had around the C# code and delegates?
Are you using the same code as the link you posted?
If you want, drop me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for replying.
Yes I’m using the same code as posted in the link. I’m able to perform the delegate operation with the same code for Exchange 2007, but it just doesn’t seem to work for Exchange 2010.
Any help please..
Thanks in Advance.
Fresh Installed Exchange Server 2013 Preview Configured Send Connector & Receive Connector.
Not able to Send Mails Stuck in Draft.
Only Mails is receving.
Can you suggest what need to do to solve….
1 Server with Active Directory in Window Server 2012 Plus Exchange Server 2013…………
Try to separate DC and Exchange, it’s not recommended to have them on the same server.
Not even in a test/lab environment
Have you searched the forum? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/exchangeserverpreview/threads
I think you will receive the same answer in there, but take a look
I just bought your book on exchange 2013. I was a bit disappointed that there nothing in the book about multi tenancy (address book policies). Especially address book policies in combination with public folders. Is it possible to blog about that? Cheers.
I’m glad you bought the book and I hope there are chapters that you like and enjoy!
I will take it under consideration, thanks for your input! Right now I’m working on the migration blog series
Anything special regarding the ABP and PF’s or just in general?
I am interested in configuring publc folders for different customers on the same exchange 2013 server, Obviously customers can’t see each other public folders.
Articles are really good, & keep more in your blogs. I need to register your blog with my email address.
i am migrating lotus notes to exchange 2010.

Why not stop the service and disable it?
Per organization or mailbox..
Hi Jonas, I am starting a project migration of lotus domino to exchange 2003. How should I execute study phase and how should I care for initial setup of Quest deployment. How I prepare infra to support mailbox migration. There are good articles given but is there any documents which can help me to collect and execute the whole work phase by phase.
Hi, I would recommend you to use a certified consultant for these product that have done these projects before. Good luck with your project // Jonas
